For this second part of the project we were given the same
instructions but this time they were a little adjusted. This time we could use
as much cardboard as we wanted but we still could not use any fasteners such a
glue or tape to hold it together. This time we had about a week longer to work
on our final chair so we could all finish on time.
For my
chair, I was portraying the relationship I have with my best friend and
roommate. It is a double chair where two people can sit because even when my
friend and I are apart form each other we are always together. Whether we’re
texting or on the phone with each other we’re always together. Even as I write
this, we’re in different places but we’re texting each other constantly. The
chair itself is simple just like our relationship is because the love we have
for each other isn’t complicated or distressed by anything.
The
structure of the chair is meant to look like bells/chimes almost because of how
we met each other. At the camp where we met there were tons of wind chimes all
over the woods and in the campgrounds.
